So let’s be clear here

Okay so you are a #neverTrump voter. And there are absolutely no conditions that would cause you to vote for Donald Trump in the November election. Which means you are either not voting at all, doing a 3rd party candidate or write-in, or voting for Hillary Clinton.

I do admire you sticking to your convictions. That is an admirable trait and one that is normally lacking in most people.

It’s a fact that our culture has drifted far from that of our founders. As a people we are unprincipled, liberal, and almost anti-Christian. These facts have been admitted by a number of those who started the #neverTrump hashtag.

We, as a society, didn’t get to this point overnight. We didn’t get to this point in the last 2 elections. This has been a slow decline over decades if not longer.

Given the state of our society why does it seem to surprise you that the more conservative, principled, and Christian candidates lost the nomination? Our society is against these God honoring men. Even if they could be nominated, it would be almost impossible to win the general election in November.

Our state of affairs happened slowly over generations. It can be stopped and reversed. But it will take time to accomplish. Not a single presidential election or 4 year term.

It has been said by those in the #neverTrump leadership that the conservative equivalent of the RINO “we can’t shut the government down” is “we can’t let the Democrat win”. They are in no way an equivalent statement.

If we do “let the Democrat win” in November. It will be a greater evil than electing Donald Trump as President. All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. Like staying home and not voting or splitting the GOP vote.

When Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders are in the White House. Liberty will be further eroded. Christian values will become fully outlawed. And conservatives will be openly targeted for persecution by the government at all levels and in the work place.

And the Supreme Court and lower courts will be filled with lawmaking progressive justices. And this will cause lasting harm for decades and generations to come in our nation.

With Donald Trump in the White House. Things are cloudy to be sure given his past. But Donald Trump does listen to the advice of others. An evangelical pastor, Gov Mike Huckabee is a good friend of his. Donald Trump is open to conservative ideas. Someone just needs to take him under their wing and guide and nurture that openness. As a Christian you are required to preach the Gospel to every creature. That includes Donald Trump. But you instead pass judgement on him. You sit on your high horse and talk of your righteousness as the Pharisees of old did in Jesus’s day.

So get off your high horse. Pray for Donald Trump. Bring the Word to Donald Trump. And vote for Donald Trump in November.

Evangelical Vote

The Republican Party lost the race for the White House in 2012 giving us a 2nd term for Obama. This didn’t happen because the GOP was against any particular group, as the Liberals would want us to believe. No, it was because millions of evangelical Christians stayed home and didn’t vote in the election at all.

This wing of the Republican Party is currently the strongest wing and the most important when it comes to winning votes. But it stayed home and handed the election to Obama because they didn’t want to vote for a very moderate Mormon candidate.

What a mistake. The evangelicals prejudice against a Mormon is what caused four more years of Obama socialism in America. And yes, I do blame them for it. I voted for Romney, not my candidate of choice, but still better than Obama.

The evangelical wing of the Republican Party tends to set a high moral ethical code on all candidates running for public office. Although I agree we should strive for a candidate with strong Judaeo-Christian values. The bar set by the evangelicals is set so high that many of the Biblical heroes and prophets would not be able to meet it.

So here we are in 2016. We are ramping up the Presidential election cycle. We are weeks away from the First in the Nation Iowa Caucuses. And the Republican field of candidates is about to get a lot smaller.

Come November we will go to the polls and elect the next leader of the free world. On the Democrat side it will most likely be Hillary Clinton. And she is by far a more radical social-communist than her party opponent Bernie Sanders. He’s just honest enough to tell everyone that he is a socialist.

On the Republican side, some will tell you today that it will be Ted Cruz. But I don’t know who it will be, and I wont care either. The Republican nominee will get my vote even if it is Rubio, or Paul, or that guy from Ohio. Any one of them is better than Clinton or Sanders any day.

So all of you evangelicals who stayed home in 2012. For the sake of our nation’s future, please come out and vote this November. Even if the GOP nominee is Donald Trump or Jeb Bush. Without your vote we will again loose the White House to the Liberals. We will fall further down the progressive path of remaking “Amerika.”

And when that government takes away your right to have a Bible believing Church, because it’s “hate speech”. And ends your rights to have your children home schooled, because you aren’t teaching global values. And then finally openly criminalizes the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You will be to blame for it and you will have to answer for it as well.

So vote in November 2016.

The Vatican People’s Republic

Having clergy of any level involved in politics is a good thing. From the leaders of whole denominations to the Believers sitting in the pews. And we should have more involvement than we do now. For the first time in US history the Pope, the leader of the Roman Catholic Church, spoke to a joint session of Congress. His speech was a failure.

The Pope praised several Americans for their contributions to history, two of them stood out above the others, Dorothy Day and Thomas Merton. These two Americans were both Catholics and they were both Marxists. No religious leader should be praising these people, Marxist ideology is atheist, and when it walks hand in hand with the Church you end up getting Raul Castro interested in joining the Church.

Pope Francis also talked about immigration. Stating that we Americans should not fear foreigners. I welcome legal immigration. America is the greatest nation on God’s Earth. I welcome tourists coming to see our sights and wonders. Both of these are foreigners and are not feared. It is those that come here illegally or with the purpose of causing harm that we must be wary of and need to stop. After all it has been said that immigration without assimilation is invasion. And that is a true statement.

He also talked about the homeless. Both the Church and the government have a role to play when it comes to the homeless. The Church should supply food, shelter, and clothing to the less fortunate. While the government should supply an economy that stimulates growth and advancement so the homeless can get a good job and be lifted out of the shelters and into a place of their own.

But Pope Francis talked about Jesus being homeless. I’m not sure if he reads the same Bible. But no where in mine does it state that Our Lord was ever homeless. He had a home in Nazareth. It is true that He was born in a manger. But He wasn’t born homeless. His family had traveled to Bethlehem for a census issued by Caesar Augustus. And upon arrival, there was no room at any Inns. The city was overcrowded, so they stayed in a manger that had room. Just as today when people camp out in a city park or in front of a theater days before a show. They are not homeless and neither was Jesus. The Pope should reread the Gospels.

Another topic the Pope touched on before Congress was the issue of Global Climate Change. The Pope, of all people, should know better. He knows of the frailty of man before the might of God Almighty. To chant such a belief that man is capable of causing such an alleged drastic changes in weather patterns is pure vanity. And vanity is nothing more than self pride and pride is one of the seven deadly sins and the opposite of the virtue of humility.

As a sinner myself, like all of mankind, I too find myself falling from time to time. But this level of pride is a huge flaw in the character of the current Bishop of Rome.

To state that he agrees with the group of scientists who support Global Climate Change because they have a consensus is like jumping off a cliff because everyone is doing it. This same group of scientists also claim there is no divine Creator. I’m sure the Pope doesn’t agree with that but there is a consensus and his own use of logic would say that he does agree because of it.

Lastly there is what the Pope didn’t talk about that is of grave concern for all of mankind. Jesus Christ came unto the world to save us from our sins. He didn’t come to condemn us, but to show us His Love.

We are all sinners. You. Me. Even his Holiness the Pope is a sinner. And we all fall short of the Glory of God. We all deserve hell for our transgressions against our Creator.

But Jesus came. He took our sins upon Himself and paid the price for us by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. He charged us with the mission to preach the Gospel, the Good News, to all the Earth. To Jew and Gentile, to evangelize the world until His return.

That is the message that was completely absent from the People’s Pope. It is his primary role as the Bishop of Rome and head of the Roman Catholic Church. And he failed.

He did however succeed at being, as the media has dubbed him, the People’s Pope. The people love and adore him. They love his false humility of not wanting to wear the expensive red shoes traditionally worn by the Pope. Or staying in the traditional Papal apartments at the Vatican. Or how when he was the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, he took the bus places instead of riding in a private car and how he returned the rubber bands that bound his newspaper every morning. The humble, so it would seem, man of the people. Who doesn’t preach the Gospel but preaches instead on Global Climate Change and other issues of the day. And so he is loved by Catholics, non-Catholics, and even non-believers alike.

Compromise

Throughout the legislative session. On both the Federal and State level. There is always the talk about compromise. But lets look at the facts of such compromise. Generally to compromise is to come to a settlement of differences by mutual concessions. And most people think of that when the legislature is in session. However, compromise does have other definitions as well. Just as exposing or making vulnerable to danger. To jeopardize. Then compromise is when your computer gets a virus, then it is compromised. When the secrets of a government or the military is leaked to the enemy or the public when it should not be. Then it is compromised.

Within the halls of Congress. It is those of the liberal factions always demanding that those on the conservative side compromise. And in turn when this happens, as it always does, the conservatives end up loosing in some way. Because they have been compromised by their own actions. The liberals never give up anything of their own to be sacrificed.

No the liberals never expose themselves or make themselves vulnerable. Time and time again the conservatives do this and loose not only their principles but face with other conservatives and the general public that sent them to be their representives in government.

It is high time that we take a page from the same playbook. That we stand our ground. Draw that line that we never cross. And if that leads to gridlock in government. Then it leads to gridlock. The liberals have causes that must be funded. If the conservatives do not cross the line, then it doesn’t get funded. The liberals would be forced to make that crossing for the first time. Or everything would grind to a halt.

Additionally that side is always campaigning. And we should too. Fire against fire. And take our country back to being the greatest nation on God’s earth.
