Russia Influence in 2016 Election

18 months after the 2016 Presidential Elections and Russian influence is still being talked about across the media outlets and social media platforms. I know for a fact that my vote in 2016 was influenced by Russia. And I voted for Donald Trump.

Given the international events of the proceeding decade, the United States was not getting anywhere on the global stage. We had lost our leadership position in the world. The once proud nation of America has become a front parlor joke at international conferences. A nation to push around and to bully.

Our friends and allies across the world no longer trusted us. Our enemies no longer feared us. And terrorism was on an increasing rise and even sleeper cells and home grown terrorism was beginning to raise its vial head.

At home, our economy was on a downward spiral that was going to cause another depression if it kept going. Our capitalist ideals were being scoffed. Businesses were “too big” to fail. Jobs were hard to come by and the thought of loosing one was very frightful. It would be the end of any American family.

With all these things Russia played a role in what could happen to the United States. It played a role in what direction the United States was heading. Russia influenced my vote in the 2016 election.

I could have voted for Hillary Clinton. But her stated policies would have made the dire situation worse. We would become a 3rd world country under that Clinton banner. Today’s Liberal mindset is anti-American values of free enterprise, hard work, being the best you can be and living the American Dream. Today’s Liberal mindset is anti-Christian. They would rather see the morals of our Founders who used the Holy Bible as a guidebook in the formation of this great nation tossed to the four winds. And Christian values discarded and replaced by all the evils of the world. So Russia influenced by vote there as well. We would become more like Russia under a Clinton Administration.

Hillary Clinton also lacked her husband’s charisma and the qualities that everyone liked about Bill Clinton. They are completely absent in that self-serving evil creature that ran for president on the Democratic ticket.

Of course I could have not voted. That is always an option but I think it’s a terrible one. That never helps anyone really. And if you don’t vote you loose your right to complain about the situation. So here even Russia influenced me to vote and not stay home that November.

Voting 3rd party is better than not voting. And someday we might get a 3rd party that can move ground. But for now we don’t have that option.

So that leaves me only with casting my vote for Donald Trump in 2016. The private citizen of Donald Trump has his flaws. Just as everyone else does. But his flaws were not as bad as Hillary Clinton’s. Having seen Donald Trump in various settings, I knew that he was a man of his word. He was not a “which way the wind is blowing” politician. He is very much like our Constitution. Says what he means and means what he says.

President Trump has a great track record of keeping his promises despite the opposition from both parties in Washington. Russia did make me vote for Donald Trump and because of that, there is peace in the world and prosperity at home.

Attonerys General

Last week the Attorneys General of 20 states sent a letter of the Deputy Attorney General of the United States. They called the firing of FBI Director James Comey by President Trump a violation of the public trust. But when reading the letter that was penned by Maura Healey, the Attorney General of The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, we see a lot of problems with it.

In the letter, Ms Healey states that the firing of Mr Comey is a violation of the public trust. As a member of that public I do not consider the action to be any kind of violation. Mr Comey should have been fired on January 20th. And as the FBI Director his term of employment is subject to the will of the President.

In the same paragraph Ms Healey refers to our system of government as a democratic system. Ms Healey needs to attend a non Liberal civics 101 class and learn that our system is a constitutional republic.

Also in the 2nd paragraph opens with the following sentence, and I quote:

The residents of our states and the American people deserve a through investigation that makes clear the extent of Russian meddling, any collusion by Trump campaign officials, and any cover-up.

So Ms Healey clearly states there was, without a doubt, Russian meddling in the 2016 Presidential Elections. Where is your proof Ms Healey? Your letter doesn’t state that Russian meddling is a possibility, it states it as a fact. As caught red handed in the cookie jar.

Perhaps Ms Healey also needs to take course in American law. Where one is innocent until proven guilty. But to her, and the other Liberals like her, Donald Trump is guilty without a trial and without evidence since there isn’t a single shred of it.

It is worth noting that 19 of the 20 Attorneys General who signed this letter are all registered Democrats. All 19 of those are from liberal states. Only 1 is not a Democrat, but I have yet to find out what that one is. And I am ashamed to say that my own State Attorney General is among those who signed this ridiculous document.

Here is the complete text and signatures of the letter.

Trust, But Don’t Verify

Another day, another “bombshell news story that will bring down Donald Trump.” Yesterday, the Washington Post published a story stating the President shared top secret information with Russian spies (which, granted, is pretty much any Russian citizen at this point). This got the Left salivating like Pavlov’s dogs at a kettle bell concert. And how did WaPo get this information? Anonymous sources.

Of course, the story fell flat when someone who was actually in the room when this “top secret” information was shared came out and said it didn’t happen. Further news reports have suggested the “top secret” information was something the Russians already knew about laptop security risks on airplanes. I’ve seen cheap rugs unravel slower than this latest “bombshell.”

Now, if this was an isolated incident, I might be willing to laugh it off. (Oh, and laugh at WaPo.) The problem is it isn’t. Since Trump was elected, the media have spent column inches and airtime doing whatever they could to undercut the President. Often, these attempts involve trying to find people deep within the Trump Administration willing to speak to the press. And with so many holdovers from Barack Obama’s Presidency, it shouldn’t be hard to find someone willing to squeal like a pig doing a Ned Beatty impression.

And when that doesn’t work, they lie.

Okay, that last statement may be a little harsh, but it might not be too far off from the truth. Today’s news cycle is such that media outlets will rush with a story to be first and then issue corrections after the fact. As you might guess, this can be problematic on so many levels, not the least of which being legally. A badly-sourced story that is first out of the gate will grab attention, but it may also grab the attention of libel lawyers looking for a quick settlement. Without getting too far into the weeds here, libel requires the accused to have malicious intent for spreading false information about another person and have no knowledge of the truth. The former is pretty much a given, and the latter would be hard to believe, given the people committing libel are news outlets.

Kinda makes you wonder how smart reporters really are, doesn’t it?

The problem with anonymous sources is they could be anyone. You may get some inside information from a disgruntled government employee (which is pretty much any government employee), or it may be Earl, the custodial worker with more conspiracy theories than he has teeth. We have no way of knowing whether the anonymous source is Deep Throat or merely watched the movie by the same name. In either case, relying heavily on sources you can’t verify is like playing Russian Roulette with someone who always gets the rules backwards. You may get by with it for a while, but eventually you’re going to get hurt.

And it’s for this very reason we shouldn’t accept anonymous sources as gospel until their information can be verified. If this can’t be done, the story shouldn’t be released to the public because once you open that Pandora’s Box of information, you can’t undo it. It’s permanent.

What these media outlets can and should do is verify the information before going public with it. You know, what news folks are supposed to do? Until then, we as news consumers should take anonymously sourced stories with a pretty big grain of salt.

Like the size of Mt. Everest.

The Americans are Coming

The Left was outraged when Donald Trump stated during his presidential campaign that he might not accept the results of the election if he didn’t win. Hillary Clinton and her supporters all claimed that such action was unpatriotic, unAmerican, shameful and wrong.

Yet here we are just 4 months after the election where Donald Trump won the election and is President. Hillary Clinton and her supporters, including the mainstream Liberal media, have not accepted the results. And for them it is patriotic, American as apple pie, and the right thing to do.

Proving once again that the Left has two sets of rules. One for them and one for everyone else. They are the leaders of the double standard.

So I’ll say it again. Donald J. Trump is the President of the United States of America. He was legitimately and lawfully elected by the People of the several States according to the US Constitution.

The Russian’s did not influence the election and steal the victory from Hillary Clinton in any way, shape, or form.

Hillary Clinton lost the election on her own for a number of reasons. Chief among them were her proposed policies which did not coincide with the values of the American people as a whole. And unlike her husband, Hillary Clinton lacks people skills and is just a very unlikable person.

Had the DNC actually allowed their members to nominate a candidate of their choice instead of handing it to Hillary Clinton. The election results would have been different. We might still have President Trump but it would have been a hard fought victory.

Provda Is More Truthful

The Liberals should read their own news reports in full before commenting on them. And they also need to read the US Constitution as well.

Yes they are at it again. The fake news, aka the Liberal mainstream media and propaganda arm of the Democratic Party. Are spreading editorials as news about Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential elections.

This is of course to undermine our lawfully and legitimately elected President Donald J. Trump. Simply because the Liberals don’t want the rule of law or a Republican in office ever again. And they still don’t understand why Hillary Clinton lost the election. So it has to be massive fraud committed by the Republicans and the Trump Administration with the help and backing of Russia.

But this whole idea and notion is absurd. Even the very Liberal media in their very reports state there is no evidence to back up their statements. That makes the reports pure fiction.

The rank and file Liberal repeats the headlines without reading the details. Shouting out, stopping traffic, raising lawlessness, and igniting various flame wars across the internet.

If they actually read the details they would see there is no evidence to the allegations. And if they were to read the Constitution and laws of the United States they would also know that to be charged and found guilty of a crime, evidence is required.

Like it or not, Donald Trump is the President. Try again in four years with a better candidate that actually resonates with the voters. Our laws are clear. Stop with the false accusations simply because your chosen candidate lost the election. It happens. We lost 2 elections in a row. Our laws are clear, when you have some hard evidence against the President for some real wrong doing. Bring it forward.

Otherwise please stop writing fiction against the President.

Russian Influenced

It’s all true. The Russians have influenced our elections! Records and reports show that China and North Korea have also influenced our elections as well. And they have been doing so for years.

And it’s not just the hacked emails from the DNC that WikiLeaks posted either. It is so vast it boggles the mind. Although, as a people, we should be grateful for the hacked emails as it exposed the corruption of the Democratic Party. And I would be equally grateful if it happened to the RNC as well.

The truth be told, every other nation influences our elections. Even if the United States was completely isolationist in nature, the actions and reactions of other nations would impact and influence our elections.

We do live in a world where communication around the world is near instantaneous. Information flows in ways that was unknown and only dreamed of 100 years ago. So what happens “over there” impacts us “over here”. And we must be ever vigilant and watching the rest of the world.

And because as a people we do this we elected a President in Donald Trump who could handle the situation at home and the world outside of the United States. Because we are influenced by other nations to elect a leader who could perform on the world stage that is befitting of the position of President of the United States.
