Endangered Swamp RINOs

I for one am very thankful that Donald Trump won the election of 2016. And it’s not because I voted for him since the Iowa Caucus or that I am some sort of Trump fanatic or “cultist” either.

The President isn’t a regular politician. And like any man he does have his faults. I do not agree with everything he had done as President either. And I know he isn’t a Conservative.

But President Donald Trump does have common sense and many Conservative values are rooted in common sense. His Presidency shines a light into the heart of the dark swamp that is Washington D.C. and Establishment politics of both Republicans and the Democrats.

Had Hillary Clinton won in November of 2016, even with a Republican win in the US House and US Senate, we would have seen more of the same that we saw in the previous 8 years under President Obama.

The House and Senate would have passed the complete repeal of ObamaCare only to have it vetoed by President Clinton. Likewise they would have passed immigration reform and all the other changes they are now dragging their feet on. However, they would have approved President Clinton’s cabinet and appointees in record time.

We the People, would have cheered the actions of Congress. For moving swiftly with the change of power in the White House and for passing the legislation that would benefit the majority of the nation. And we would be duped into thinking and believing that Congress was the vanguard protecting us from Liberalism. That would be the world if Hillary Clinton had won.

Without President Donald Trump, those so-called “neverTrump Conservatives” would have fooled us into believing that they are Conservatives. But thanks to the light being shown on them from the President. We see that they are only RINOs (Republicans In Name Only.) And a year from now in the mid-term elections. We will send the majority of them packing their bags.

Beginning his Walk

We have in Donald Trump a conservative convert from progressive liberalism. A small spark of light coming out of the darkness.

But instead of reacting with joy that a former progressive has opened his eyes. The majority of conservative leaders seek to extinguish this new light. When the movements most influential should be mentoring Donald Trump they instead ridicule him.

As he crawls his way of the darkness of his past. Instead of helping him up, they push him back down in the muck.

These conservative leaders attack everything Donald Trump does or says. They tell him and others that he is not really a conservative and never will be accepted.

Only those that are bold enough to challenge the leadership step forward to welcome Donald Trump to conservatism. These brave souls share their light with his. To help him grow in his understanding. As it should be when someone joins your cause.

And then the leaders of the movement scoff at those who come to help Donald on his walk. Stating that they are no longer conservatives and have lost all authority to speak for the movement. Yet they still help.

Why do these conservative leaders not lead? Why do these conservative leaders not want to bring someone out of liberalism?

It’s very simple. They fear the power and money of Donald Trump. They fear loosing their status of being a conservative leader when a brighter light begins to shine. They fear he will tip the balance and rock the boat.

They fear he could actually win and they would be out of power and out of their job of “holding down the principles” yet accomplishing nothing. They would have to act or be exposed as the frauds that they are just as Boehner was exposed. They are only interested in their own power. And Donald Trump is a threat to that power.

Coalescing Nonsense

Some leaders in the conservative movement are calling for a coalescing around one particular candidate, and the Iowa Caucus is still two weeks away.

Those in favor of coalescing right now like to talk about poll numbers of the other candidates. I think these so-called leaders need a bit of a history lesson. The Gallup Poll showed Jimmy Carter winning the 1980 election by 8 points just two days before the vote. But that wasn’t the outcome two days later. It was a landslide victory for Ronald Reagan. Polls and statistics can prove any conclusion you want them to prove, just manipulate the data.

This kind of “slappy” support is madness and a sign of desperation from that particular campaign. The Republican field is still full of exceptional candidates that we can all get behind. Let’s save the coalescing until after the big three caucus/primary states cast their first votes in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.

Once the first set of votes are in, that is when we will see some of the candidates drop from the race. They will give their support to another candidate and urge their supporters to do the same.

That is when we need to start coalescing. And we must continue to do so until a nominee is named. Once we have a nominee, then we must give that candidate 100% of our support and votes. Staying home is not an option in this election. And staying home is a vote for Hillary and the Liberal American death machine.

The Donald and Reagan

I am starting to see a number of articles now that point out the similarities between Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump.

I have had a few private conversations over the past 6 months where I was stating the same thing. So I agree with these articles. Donald Trump is this generation’s Ronald Reagan.

When the naysayers attack The Donald they say he isn’t a real Republican. It’s true that The Donald hasn’t always been a Republican and neither was Ronald Reagan. We all have to grow up at some point.

The GOP establishment, the media, and those supporting other GOP candidates all call Donald Trump’s campaign a joke. That it’s not a serious campaign. This too was the call from the same groups when Ronald Reagan ran for President.

Another claim to fame is calling Donald Trump an “entertainer”. Well here’s a newsflash. Ronald Reagan was an entertainer as well. A movie star instead of a reality TV star. Reagan got flack for it as Trump is getting flack for it now.

It seems to me that Donald Trump is in pretty good company with the Great Communicator. And there are more parallels between these two great men.

Now the evangelicals cry out that Donald Trump can’t be their candidate because he has been married 3 times over. No dispute there, it’s a matter of public record. However, let us remind everyone that Ronald Reagan was married twice over. Yet the evangelicals treat Reagan as a hero of the conservative movement.

Also both men are members of the Presbyterian denomination. And if the evangelicals were truly concerned about Donald Trump, they should be making sure he is Saved instead of nailing him to the cross.

Donald Trump is the kind of man that listens to his advisers. And like any true leader, he makes the final decision based on that advice. Only 2 others in the GOP field have expressed they would hire the others on the stage. The rest of them are selfish and seek political gain and power.

I think Donald Trump can win the nomination and surprise the media, the Liberals, and the GOP establishment. Just as Ronald Reagan did in the last generation. And he can win the White House too.

Reagan chose George H.W. Bush as his running mate, a former opponent in the race before the nomination. This was a move to help capture the GOP establishment vote back in those days. It was needed to have the party on your side back then. And it worked.

In the 2012 election, it was proven that the GOP establishment wing has lost its clout with the party. The wing that is needed now to win an election is that evangelical Christian voting block who stayed home and gave us 4 more years of Obama.

Donald Trump will need to win over that wing of the party in full force, otherwise we hand the election to Hillary Clinton’s 3rd term as President. If Donald Trump were to choose Mike Huckabee as his running mate, it would swing the majority of the evangelical vote to win the White House. And it would be unstoppable.

And we would get our America back from where the Left has lead it these past decades. We could also see our new President turning more and more to God and the Savior Jesus Christ with the helping guidance of his Vice President. It would be a win-win situation.

Endorsements and Secret Meetings

Here in my home state of Iowa, we have the unique privilege of vetting the candidates for President before anyone begins to vote on them. This is an issue we take very seriously. Our caucus is next month and many people are still undecided when it comes to the Republican field.

As far as the Democrats go, it’s almost a sure thing for Hillary Clinton unless the millennials come out in great numbers and call for the Socialist Bernnie Sanders. That is yet to be determined.

For the mainstream however, most of us are undecided. Myself included. I have leanings towards several candidates. But yet so-called Conservative leaders in our State and across the nation have taken it upon themselves to cast secret ballots in secret meetings and come up with the nominee for the movement and the Republican Party.

This cabal of un-elected power mongers, who like to think of themselves as Kingmakers. Have decided for all of us, with a vote behind closed doors that Ted Cruz should be our man. This is a bad mistake on a number of levels.

Ted Cruz isn’t above being a liar. He lied about the Huckabee rally in Kentucky for the imprisoned county clerk when he knew full well that it was a Huckabee rally. Yet he tried to crash it for his own political gain.

Ted Cruz also isn’t a fighter. He doesn’t stand up to the black robed tyrants of the court system. To him, the opinions of the court are law. Which means he isn’t even going to try to fight the courts on any issue if he becomes President.

Ted Cruz isn’t for the Fair Tax. So he still wants to have a smaller corrupt IRS system which taxes your income and keeps people in poverty. We all should be able to take home what we make. Now one alone isn’t enough to disqualify him. But it’s another nail in the coffin.

And I, and others, just don’t have a good feeling when it comes to Ted Cruz. Call it intuition if you will, or a Believer, you can also call it the Holy Spirit speaking to us. But either way Ted Cruz is NOT our voice.

Those conservative leaders who decided that Cruz was the man for the movement in their secret meetings and who have already endorsed him because of it risk alienating the base who is still majorly undecided. And it makes them angry and causes fractures that the cabal wanted to prevent with their meddling. And it may even lead to conservative voters staying home for the caucus and on election night. And that would open the door for Hillary or Sanders to take the White House without a fight.

We may be on our way to having new leaders of our movement in this election cycle. As our current leadership continues to fail us and costs us election after election.

Despite the polling numbers, the other candidates still have a chance to swell once the caucus and primary season kicks off. Come SuperTuesday we will know who is still in the running and who is not.

The Opposition to Trump

Many of the negative voices against Donald Trump for President come from the Liberals who don’t want to see an end to their pet programs. Open boarders, free flowing immigration, high taxes, gun control and the list goes on and on. So they call him a bigot, a racist, and host of other names. Although he is not “allowed” to call anyone names.

The rest of the negative voices come from within the GOP. These come from the Establishment side, which can’t stand to see a non-Establishment candidate running for the nomination and gaining strong support despite all their attempts to discredit the running. This is just petty. The Establishment will take the ideas from the Liberals and others to use in the attempt to stop Trump’s campaign.

The last of the negative voices come from the Christian Right of the GOP Conservative base. Their voice claims that Trump is not a true Conservative due to his past actions. Giving money to Democrats and Liberal causes. Yet Trump has given to GOP and Conservative causes.

This group is against Trump because he is also not currently a Believer himself. This somehow makes him inelligable to run for and hold office. This is a huge mistake for those that buy into this idea. Trump needs our prayers so his eyes can be opened and he becomes a Believer. But this doesn’t make him inelligable to hold the office of President.

There are Christian Conservatives in the GOP who have welcomed Trump and do support him. These supporters all have talked with Donald and know his heart is on the right track. Yes the man has faults. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

Don’t discount and ingore Donald Trumps presidential campaign. He is here to stay. Hearts and Minds can change. Many of the others running have had changes of position but they are not being attacked as fakers like Trump is being attacked for doing the same thing.

I have a good friend who, when I first met him, he was pretty much a Liberal agnostic. Today. he is a Conservative and an Elder in his Church. Even my own opinions on issues have changed and evolved over the years. Have yours?

Unfair to The Donald

Donald Trump is correct. He isn’t being treated fairly by the media, the RNC and other Republican organizations, or even conservatives. The reason why is quite simple. You can’t buy Donald Trump’s silence on any matter.

The left and right leaning media hate him and will attempt to discredit him at any opportunity. They will bring up his past beliefs, statements and actions. And so do the Republicans and conservatives. Never do they say that Donald Trump has seen the errors of his past and has changed his beliefs on any subject. Yet they will say this for other candidates that are running.

If other candidates are capable of changing their opinions from past beliefs why can’t Donald Trump be the same way?

Because it all boils down to money. Donald Trump is funding his own campaign with his own money. No other candidate can do that. They all must take money from special interest groups to fund their campaigns who limit what they can and cannot say. Even if they want to say something like Donald Trump is saying.

What Donald Trump is saying on the campaign trail resonates in the unheard majority of Americans who are sick and tired of politics as usual. He is a breath of fresh air in the world of politics and should not be excluded from any event and should be treated with the same respect of any other candidate for the highest office in the world.

Enough Rope

It looks like the Liberals have finally given themselves enough rope to hang themselves with it. Of course they would always be opposed to the idea of the GOP changing the Senate rules to a simple majority. But when the Liberals do it, then it’s OK because that is just making it “fair”.

I greatest prayer right now is that the Liberals continue to change the rules of the Senate from a two-thirds majority rule to a simple majority rule. Then their only obstacle in passing any legislation will be the Republican controlled House. And with enough bullying tactics, that too can be overcome.

Once all of these rules are changed in the Senate, the Liberals will be happilly pushing the rest of the evils of their agenda through the legislature and on to President Obama’s desk to become law. Thinking all along that come the mid-term elections of 2014, that they will gain control of the House and nothing can stop them.

But that is just dead wrong. So much about their forced agenda is not liked by the American public who are finally beginning to speak out. Conservatives will run in the mid-term elections, and history will repeat itself. The conservative movement will sweep both chambers of Congress. Retain control of the House and gain control of the Senate.

And then they will have the simple majority rules in place, thanks to the Liberals. And the defunding and total repeal of ObamaCare and the rest of the laws that are destroying our Christian nation and culture can be swept away up until the 2016 elections for a conservative President.

But none of this can happen if the moderates and Republican establishment candidates gain the nominations. If that happens, then there will be no change and our country will continue its decline like that of ancient Rome.

The Shutdown

This morning we woke up to a government shutdow since no budget has been passed by Congress and any attempt at a budget has been crushed by the Senate. The House keeps passing a budget. Now of course that means that the government shutdown is somehow the fault of the Republican Party but they are incontrol of the House and not the Senate. Yet the Senate is where the budget gets tabled and not voted on and it is controlled by the Democrat Party. Explain to me how its the Republican’s fault again? I’m confused on that bit.

The Whitehouse announced yesterday that in the event of a government shutdown that non-essential workers would be the first to be let go. Hmmm if I ran a buisness, would I have non-essential workers? I think not. I mean that’s like paying the guy who stands at the water cooler all day a nice salary for standing at the water cooler all day. I say let him go.

When the Republican’s are in control of the WhiteHouse, you don’t see the Democrats in Congress going, “Well since we lost the last election. I guess we have to do what you say now.” Which is EXACTLY what they are expecting the Repulican’s to do. The street runs both ways my friends. No the Democrats fight the Republican’s on every measure, every step of the way. There is no difference now.

Also anytime there is a government shutdown, on any level, the ruling party states it will affect the people in a the worst possible ways. I mean come on. There are coins in the coffers still. You send these funds to whichever department is necessary. But the government never does what is necessary. Only what advances their own agenda and ideology, no matter which party is in control at the time.

Shut it down is a good thing. The government should not be in our lives as much as it is already. Having it gone for a few days or weeks will be like a breath of fresh air. And for those whiny people who have their hearts out on their sleaves who are worried about all these people who are being sent home. They will all get their back pay when the government shutdown is resolved. There is no loss for them really.

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their Public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here.
